Springfield Gateway hotel project has received final CDP/FDP Approval from the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The proposed Springfield Gateway hotel site will be Schupp Companies’ second hotel project in Northern Virginia. Located in Springfield, VA at the corner of Backlick Road and Old Keene Mill Road/Route 644, the project is adjacent to the I-95/I395/I495 on-ramp providing excellent access to the region. The building design follows the new Hampton Inn & Suites prototype adopted by Hilton in January 2018. The hotel façade will bring an upscale context with brick, metal panels and high grade commercial EIFS. Vibrant landscaping will be incorporated into the project to enhance the pedestrian experience on Backlick Road and Springfield Boulevard. Market demand drivers include: Fort Belvoir, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Future TSA Headquarters and robust tourism market.
